The Royal Army Women’s team suffered a heavy defeat against their Arsenal counterparts (6-0), in a match that was part of the semi-finals of the first edition of the Women’s Champions Cup 2026, which took place this evening, on the grounds of Brentford Stadium in the British capital, London.

Arsenal’s players dominated most of the first half, with the most dangerous goal being Khadija Al-Rumaishi’s goal, while Al-Jaish’s players relied on counterattacks.

The Arsenal team was able to score 4 goals in the first half, through Stina Black-Stenes (10th minute), Farida Maanoum (12th minute), Mariona Caldinetti from a penalty kick (22nd minute), and Olivia Smith (41st minute).

The second half of the match was not much different from its first counterpart, and the players of the “English” team continued to exert control over most of its phases, and were able to add two goals through player Alicia Russo (66 and 76 minutes).

Arsenal entered the match as the champion of the Women’s Champions League for the 2024-2025 season, after defeating Barcelona in the final by an unanswered goal.

While the Royal Army Women team reached this round after defeating the women of the Chinese Wuhan Jiangda team, with a score of 2-1, in a match held at the municipal stadium in Berrechid, within the second round of the first edition of the Women’s Confederations Champions Cup, which extended to extra time, as the holders of the 2025 CAF Champions League title after winning at the expense of Ivorian ASEC Mimosas.
