A completely new experience for thousands of games

The developers at Praydog have finally launched UEVR in beta.

Thousands of games and many headsets supported

This is an important milestone because almost all Unreal Engine 4 and Unreal Engine 5 games receive support for VR mode, and it is many: Over 11,000 games use the Epic Games game engine. Third-person games work surprisingly well, while FPS games like Atomic Heart, High On Life, Returnal, and Robocop supposedly work great even with a VR headset.

The program directly implements support for games and there is currently no support for profiles, but a database of this will make it easier to get the best experience right away. As it stands now, you have to set it manually to get the best result. We also recommend reading the Praydog guide and watching the introductory video:

Supported Headphones:

  • Oculus Rift CV1
  • Oculus Rift S
  • Oculus Quest2
  • MetaQuest Pro
  • Valve index
  • HTC Vive
  • HTC Vive Pro
  • The big screen beyond
  • A range of Pimax headphones such as 8KX and Crystal
  • A range of WMR headphones such as the HP Reverb G2

Program features:

  • Full 6DOF support out of the box (HMD motion)
  • Full stereoscopic 3D ready to use
  • Integrated UE4/UE5 stereo rendering system
  • Frontend GUI for easy process insertion
  • 3 playback modes: Native Stereo, Synchronized Sequential and Alternate/AFR
  • Automatically handles most of the game’s user interfaces so that they are projected into 3D space
  • Optional 3DOF motion controls out of the box in many games, essentially emulating a semi-native VR experience
  • Optional spatial scale movement in many games, the player character itself moves in 3D space together with the headset
