The burglary of a house in Ambohijanaka, fokontany of Morondava, rural commune of Antehiroka, in the district of Ambohidratrimo, ended this Sunday, March 3. Around 7:30 p.m., four bandits entered through the still open gate of the home when they met the owners’ daughter who was going out to buy something. The criminals immediately threatened her with a gun to force her to take them inside. The girl managed to escape, shouting “thieves!” “. Hearing the commotion, his father went out and found himself face to face with the burglars. They held him by the collar, took the phone from his hands and threatened to shoot him if he moved. Neighbors heard the screams and came out to help the victims. Feeling trapped, the bandits had no choice but to flee, taking the road leading to Morondava. Alerted, the gendarmes from the Antehiroka advanced post, supported by elements coming from Talatamaty, set out to reach the scene, coming across the bandits near the place called ILO FAV. A shootout then broke out. In the exchange of fire, a criminal was shot. An automatic pistol was found on him. The other three managed to escape. After almost four hours of pursuit, two of the burglars were apprehended in Andramiarana, in the fokontany of Morondava, around 11:30 p.m. They were immediately taken into police custody.
