These are the 16 districts that will join the Social Protection Table from next year

A total of 16 districts from seven departments of the country will be incorporated by the Government as priorities within the Social Protection Board. In these districts, the focused work of State institutions will be expanded, which has already produced notable results this year.


In the department of Concepción, the districts of Sargento José Félix López and San Alfredo were incorporated, adding to Paso Barreto de Itakua, which were already included.

Santa Rosa del Mbutuy and San Joaquín will be incorporated in Caaguazú, along with the three districts that had already been included this year: Yhu, Tembiapora and RI3 Corrales.

In Itapúa it was decided to incorporate Mayor Otaño and Jesús, in addition to Alto Verá and San Pedro del Paraná, which were included.

In the department of Canindeyú, it is incorpora to Yasy Kañy Yanya Ygatimí, also to laurel and Itanará who is inclosed.

In Caazapá, three more districts will be incorporated, Doctor Moisés Bertoni, 3 de Mayo and Taba’í, in addition to General Morínigo and San Juan de Nepomuceno that are already within the system.

It is equally included, of the San Pedro Department, San Vicente Pancholo and Antequera. of this department of Estabban Yrybycuá, Capiibary and Santa Rosa of the Aguaray.

Finally, from the department of Guaira, General Eugenio Garay, Doctor Botrell and Paso Ybay will be included.

“With this we will be reaching 42 more districts, incorporating the Social Protection System so that we can achieve in each district to prepare the territorial development plan and attend to the most important needs that these districts have,” said the Minister of Social Development, Tadeo Rojas.

Achievements in the 26 prioritized districts this year
The minister highlighted that in the 26 districts that already make up the Social Protection System, where 29 institutions of the Executive Branch intervene, very important achievements have been achieved this year.

Among them, he highlighted that this year the implementation of the Zero Hunger program was achieved in 100% of these 26 districts, at all educational levels.

“We have also prioritized social programs such as Seniors, where we have incorporated 6,788 older adults, prioritizing these districts, and we included 3,800 families in the Tekoporã Mbarete program,” he said.

On the part of the Ministry of Health, it indicated that 65 professionals have been incorporated, a need that was raised at the Social Protection Board, 16 ambulances have been delivered and 21 new water systems were built.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Urban Planning, Housing and Habitat built 1,133 homes this year in the prioritized districts, mainly for indigenous communities and vulnerable sectors of social territories.

The Ministry of Public Works, for its part, is fully executing 169 kilometers of all-weather road. There are 27 kilometers in the bidding process and 87 kilometers to be tendered for paving in these districts.

In Education, 116,254 desks have also been delivered through the binational entity Itaipú and the Ministry of Labor held 925 job training courses.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, for its part, delivered 8 agricultural tractors and the Agricultural Credit granted loans to productive sectors for an amount of approximately 47.5 billion guaraníes.

Among the achievements, it is also mentioned that the Ministry of the Interior delivered 18 patrol boats and Indert delivered 344 property titles.

“Really with this what we are demonstrating is that, working as a team from the Social Cabinet, made up of all the institutions, we are achieving the results that we have really set as a goal in this year 2025. These are the most important achievements, but then there are other institutions that have also been doing their thing,” said Minister Rojas.
