The Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait announced the resignation of Mr. Murad Ali Murad, Chairman of the Board of Directors, from his position on the Bank’s Board of Directors. This resignation came in response to the wishes of Mr. Murad for special reasons. His presidency of the Board of Directors will end on March 27, 2024, after the next General Assembly meeting. The Board of Directors is working to appoint a Chairman of the Board of Directors to lead the bank. The new president is scheduled to begin his duties after the General Assembly meeting on the date mentioned above.
Mr. Murad Ali Murad played a major and pivotal role in the bank’s achievements since its founding, and contributed significantly to its development and the growth of the banking and financial sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He also supported the young Bahraini workforce to assume leadership tasks, and achieved many other notable and fundamental achievements.
In light of this news, Mr. Murad Ali Murad thanked the Board of Directors of the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, and also thanked all the employees of the Bank for their efforts and sincere work to make the Bank an important banking institution that serves all economic sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arabian Gulf region.
On this occasion, Mr. Murad stated, “I am proud of the financial strength the bank has achieved, the solidity of its strong shareholders’ rights, the diversity of its activities, its excellent performance, the large volume of liquidity, and the high solvency of the bank compared to the large banks in the Gulf region. This was not possible except thanks to God Almighty and the care and attention of His Holiness. His Majesty the Great King, may God protect and preserve him, and the constant care and follow-up of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him and all employees of the bank, especially the successive Bahraini administrative staff since 1987, as the bank’s results for the year 2023 were the best evidence of the bank’s financial strength and durability, which heralds the continuation of… The bank continues to expand and diversify its business.
He added: “I wish the bank every success and success and the fulfillment of the ambitions of all relevant parties. I am confident that the bank will continue its high standing and excellent performance in the coming years.”
