They deny that it continues to operate from the maximum security prison

Interior Minister Enrique Riera, rejected versions that Armando Rotela, leader of the criminal clan, continues to operate from the maximum security prison in which he is.

He referred to the megaoperative of the Department of Anti -Narcotics of the National Police, where nine simultaneous raids were registered in the departments of Cordillera, Paraguarí and Central, and highlighted this action as a hard blow to the criminal organization called Clan Rotela.

He clarified that the leader of the organization fulfills a high security regime in the ambush prison and that, although he could communicate with his relatives and lawyers, it is very unlikely that he gives direct orders from the prison, since he is completely isolated and with the basic possessions.

Riera also explained that during the visits he receives, both from his relatives and lawyers, there is a very strict security protocol, in which a guard is always present in the room and listens to everything that is said, so that any type of criminal conversation is difficult.

“Rotela has a maximum security regime, only two hours a day sees the sun, but you have constitutional right to meet with your lawyer and your family. There is no target technical record that he has a phone because the Rotela cell is required three times a day,” said Minister Riera to the media.
