India-Pakistan tensions are steadily increasing in terms of recent gun attacks in Pahelgam, Kashmir. At such a crisis, former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party has called for the release of Imran Khan and the all-party meeting to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.
PTI Senator Syed Ali Jafar made the call on Monday (April 23) in the Senate of Pakistan. He said the unity of the country is the most important during the national crisis. Right now, we need to have an all -party meeting and the presence of Imran Khan is essential in that discussion.
PTI leader Ali Jafar criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent statement and activity, saying that the screenplay of Modi’s drama has now been understood. India’s unilateral attempt to cancel the Indus Water Treaty involves violation of the International Agreement. He also said that an attempt to blame Pakistan in the case of 20 people in Pahelgam is a baseless and politically motivated plot.
According to the PTI, India’s movements are obviously part of a long -term conspiracy to break Pakistan. They complain that Delhi has been making anti -Pakistan statement for a long time.
In the Senate, opposition leader Shivali Faraz also emphasized on national unity. “We are facing challenges on both the internal and international fronts,” he said. We may have political differences, but we are united on the question of Pakistan’s security.
Ali Zafar warned in his statement that if the Modi government moved a drop of water in Pakistan, we would consider it as an enemy attack and give appropriate answers.
Imran Khan is currently imprisoned. Analysts say his call for release and all -party dialogue can add a new dimension to Pakistani politics.
On April 22, 20 people were killed in a deadly gun attack in Pahelgam, Kashmir, one of which was a Nepalese citizen. Although the Indian government directly blamed Pakistan for the attack, Islamabad has completely denied the allegations.
According to political analysts, political divisions in Pakistan are currently deep. In this context, the call for the PTI all -party meeting may be a positive step to handle the situation. However, it is not yet clear what the government will respond to the proposal.
