Jana Hlaváčová lived in the house with her daughter, the actress Bára Munzarová, and her husband, also an actor Martin Trnavský, who took care of her with love until the last moment. In 2019, according to information from the website eXtra.cz, Bára Munzarová revealed that she had to hire two carers. “I looked for them for a long time before fate threw them to us. They are extraordinary women, their hearts are in the right place. They helped us and help us not only with our parents, but also with a sick cat or with the garden” , he said at the time. “I can’t do anything anymore, my health is not good and I’m useless. I’m just sleeping now. I’m already resigned to the fact that tomorrow could come at any moment. Where I absolutely need it, for example in the bathroom, I can go there with the help of a walker. Otherwise I’m really lager”, Jana Hlaváčová confided on the phone when contacted by the newspaper Aha!
At his request, the funeral will be organized by the National Theatre
The beloved national actress left the earthly world, just like the love of her life, actor Luděk Munzar, with whom she spent 54 years of marriage. Both lived to the same age of 85 and died in January, surrounded by those closest to them, he four years earlier.

“Jana was a wonderful person and a wonderful actress. I loved her very much, we will miss her terribly. Unfortunately she did not have an easy old age, but she was lucky to have the kind of family she had. He always spoke of her with great love and she appreciated the way they took care of her. She didn’t take it for granted,” actor Jiří Krampol told CNN Prima NEWS.
As the management of the Vinohrady Theater informs, where Jana Hlaváčová moved after leaving the National Theater in 1992 and where she played 20 important roles in 20 years, the final farewell will be public. “According to the wishes of her and her family, her funeral will be organized by the National Theatre,” reads the Vinohrady Theater website. The last farewell to Jana Hlaváčová will take place on January 26th.
Guard of honor at the coffin
According to the Blesk newspaper, famous people will take turns in front of the coffin, with a guard of honour. This role should fall, for example, to František Němec (80), Jiřina Bohdalová (92) or Miroslav Donutil (72). Active work is now being done on the entire guard of honor list. The complete list may include up to 50 names in the final. Petr Kostka, Simona Postlerová or Jan Šťastný should speak over the coffin.
