Alec Musser, an actor known for his roles in the series “All my Children” and the comedy “Son Como Niños” (Grown Ups), died at the age of 50 last weekend, his family told the media.
His death was confirmed by his partner, Paige Press, with whom he had been engaged, through several statements to the online media Deadline and the TMZ portal. According to the press, Musser died on Friday evening at his home in Del Mar, California. The cause of death has not yet been revealed.
“Today is the worst day of my life. We were very happy. You were the best boyfriend I could have asked for,” Press said on his social networks, shortly after the death was confirmed.
In addition to being an actor, Musser was known for his career in the world of sports, particularly fitness, which took him to a long list of countries and posing for magazines such as GQ, Cosmopolitan, Men’s Workout and Men’s Health.
Presence on television and in the cinema
Musser made himself known to the American public with the reality television show “I Wanna Be a Soap Star”, winner in the second edition in 2005, and with the role of the character Del Henry in the soap opera “All My Children” on the ABC network series, appearing in 43 episodes between 2005 and 2007. He also participated in the 2010 film “Son Como Niños”, with the famous sequence in a water park, and in the series “Desperate Housewives”, in which he starred in a 2012 episode.
Beyond these appearances, Musser had a large presence on social networks, where he highlighted his healthy lifestyle and daily exercise, which is why his death shocked the actor’s followers and fans.
Adam Sandler, star, co-writer and producer of the film “I’m Like Children”, with whom Musser shared the screen, expressed messages of condolence through social networks.
“I love this guy. I can’t believe he’s gone. A wonderful man, funny, good man. I think of Alec Musser’s family and send them all my love. A true love of a person,” Sandler said.
