The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decision on the transfer of the medical institutions of “Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC (ADY) to the control and disposal of the relevant state bodies.
Publika.az reports that the decision was signed by Prime Minister Ali Asadov.
According to the decision, the Road Hygiene and Epidemiology Center and Road Sanitary-Quarantine Inspection of the joint-stock company’s Medical-Sanitary Service are subordinated to the Ministry of Health, the medical facilities of the Medical-Sanitary Service are subordinated to the Management Union of the Medical Territorial Units, the property complex in which the Engirli Children’s Railway Hospital is located in the Mardakan settlement of the Khazar district of Bak Real Estate Affairs under the Ministry of Economy was placed at the disposal of the State Service.
After the execution of the decision, ADY must take appropriate measures and inform the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the cancellation of the Doctor-Sanitary Service in accordance with the legislation. The first parts of the decision come into force on January 1 next year. In addition, the Ministry of Finance is instructed to take into account the financing issues arising from this Decision when preparing the drafts of the 2025 state budget and the summary budget.
