National Sports Week medal standings ( PON ) XXI Aceh-Sumut 2024 experienced a slight change on Tuesday (10/9/2024) afternoon WIB. However, East Java still survives and is firmly at the top of the standings.

Based on the data that has been inputted until 18:00 WIB, East Java leads the top of the medal standings with a collection of 28 gold, 13 silver, 18 bronze. East Java’s 28th gold was presented by Gladies Lariesa Garina Hagakore from the 10m tower diving sport.

Meanwhile, West Java is still in second place with 14 golds, 19 silvers, and 21 bronzes. However, the position is quite risky because the host, North Sumatra, is closely following in third place.

North Sumatra moved up one level to third place with a collection of 13 golds, 3 silvers, 7 bronzes. They are closely following West Java which is only one gold behind. However, they must also be wary of DKI Jakarta and Aceh which are in fourth and fifth place.

DKI Jakarta rose to fourth position after collecting 12 gold, 25 silver, 8 bronze. Then, Aceh which dropped two ranks collected 12 gold, 8 silver, 9 bronze.

Meanwhile, Central Sulawesi became the latest province to win its first medal at the 21st PON Aceh-North Sumatra 2024. Central Sulawesi won a silver medal in the men’s 10,000-meter open water swimming event through Alexander Adrian.
