The People’s Committee of Quang Ngai province has directed to rectify the practice of wearing clothes printed with the national flag in public places, then posting the image on social networks in violation of regulations, causing negative public opinion.
On September 6, the People’s Committee of Quang Ngai province issued a document directing the strict implementation of regulations on the use of the national flag in the province.
According to the People’s Committee of Quang Ngai province, hanging the national flag and using the image of the national flag during holidays and Tet; commemorating historical and cultural events; and in political activities of the country and Quang Ngai province has become a cultural beauty. This is an opportunity for organizations and people to express their patriotism and national pride.
People hanging and drawing images of the national flag on civil works, means of transport, items, costumes and uniforms is becoming a trend, attracting widespread attention in society.

However, recently, there has been a situation of using images of the national flag that are not in accordance with regulations, standards, and purposes. Many people use costumes printed with the national flag in sports activities, public performances, then take pictures, record clips and post them on social media platforms in violation of regulations, causing negative public opinion.
In order to rectify this situation, the People’s Committee of Quang Ngai province requires organizations and individuals to use the national flag in the correct size and color as stipulated in Article 13 of the 2013 Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
When displaying the image of the national flag on any construction, item or vehicle, people and organizations must do so solemnly, seriously and in compliance with regulations to ensure the dignity of using the image of the national flag.
The People’s Committee of Quang Ngai province also assigned the departments, branches, and provincial police to inspect the use of images of the national flag to rectify and handle violations.
