Yape improves dollar sending functionality

With more than 16 million users, Yape continues to offer a wide range of services, including recharges, purchases, credits, and service payments, among others.

Yep has renewed its option to «Exchange dollars»now allowing users with dollar accounts to send money directly in this currency. This innovation facilitates transactions, since Users will be able to “yape” dollars from a soles account and vice versawithout the need for prior conversions.

With a minimum limit of $1 per operation and a maximum of $500 per dayThis feature seeks to simplify the sending of dollars, which represents an advance in the management of currencies within the application. Carolina Arbulú, Head of Products at Yapehighlighted that this new feature aims to maximize the use of dollars within the platform. In addition, he announced that it will soon be possible to “yape” dollars from a dollar account, further increasing flexibility for users.

Steps to send dollars through Yape:

1. Go to the “Exchange dollars” option in Yape.
2. Select the operation you wish to perform: “I want dollars” or “I want soles.”
3. Enter the amount you wish to send.
4. Choose “Send to a contact.”
5. Select the recipient.
6. Confirm the operation and that’s it!

This feature adds to the many innovations launched by Yape, such as the possibility of buying and selling dollars, creating dollar accounts for users affiliated with BCP, and transaction limits ranging from $999 per operation to $5,000 per day.
