Angola hosts the second Global Entrepreneurship Week

Global Entrepreneurship Week emerged ten years ago, in the United States of America, and arrived in Angola in 2016.

As an initiative that aims to increase the Entrepreneurship ecosystem at a global level, where innovators and job promoters and creators launch startups and new companies, boosting economic growth and expanding human well-being in the 170 countries in which it is held annually, Angola will once again host this important event from 13 to 18 November 2017, and will challenge entrepreneurs, and Angolans in general , to expand its vision and positively influence the future of the country.

Under the motto “Entrepreneurship: your vision, our Future”, the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Angola, which takes place within the scope of Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), is carried out by the Acelera Angola group, in partnership with important national and international Public and Private Institutions, through which it is possible to make this initiative broader and with the desired impact at national level.

This year, the big stage for Global Entrepreneurship Week will be the Belas Convention Center (CCB), in Futungo, where the opening of the five days of intense work that are expected to be productive will take place. In the following days, namely from the 14th to the 17th of November, through various partners in the national entrepreneurship ecosystem, community events will be held in several municipalities and districts of Luanda, whilst, on the 18th, the closing event will be held in a location to indicate.

Over the five days of work, we intend to reach, through the approximately 10 events to be held, a minimum of two thousand participants and entrepreneurs. In addition, with Global Entrepreneurship Week Angola 2017, we intend to promote spaces for in-depth analysis of the current state of Entrepreneurship providers and Actors at national level and encourage greater knowledge and identification of needs and requirements to improve the quality of performance of different actors ; strengthening the utility networks of the Entrepreneurship system and expanding its understanding throughout the country’s urban and rural spaces, as we believe this is a fundamental step towards expanding the network of the local Entrepreneurship Ecosystem, with dialogue and understanding between all participating partners in Angola .
