“Protecting our elderly and immunocompromised people as best as possible against influenza and Covid-19 therefore remains an important objective. An objective to be achieved in close collaboration with the other vaccinators” who are essentially general practitioners and nurses, underlines the federation . The flu vaccine costs only four euros for people belonging to a risk group, or around two million Belgians. In Belgium, the flu affects an average of 500,000 people every year, one in a thousand of whom develops complications (such as pneumonia) that require hospitalization.
