RTVC responds to authorship made by the Comptroller’s Office

In response to the recent report by the Comptroller General of the Republic on the financial management of RTVC Public Media System During the 2023 term, the current administration, headed by Hollman Morris since April 18, 2024, has issued key statements to clarify its position and commitment to the findings presented.

The audit revealed a total of 24 administrative findings, including one of a fiscal nature for a significant amount of 9.371 billion Colombian pesos.

Of these, two findings will be the subject of preliminary investigations and seventeen have been identified with presumed disciplinary implications. It is important to note that none of these findings affect the Television Sub-directorate during the second half of last year, a period in which Hollman Morris had already served as director since July 26, 2023, although he did not have the power to order expenditure at RTVC.

According to RTVC’s official statement, Hollman Morris officially assumed management on April 18, 2024, and therefore has no direct responsibility for administrative or fiscal decisions taken during the 2023 period.

In this context, it is noteworthy that Morris, in his capacity as current legal representative, has expressed his absolute commitment to collaborate closely with the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic to clarify the findings detected and improve the internal processes of the entity.
