Man in India bites snake to death that attacked him while he was sleeping

It all happened when the man, identified as Santosh Lohar woke up in the middle of the night with a poisonous snake in his bed, but instead of screaming or running out of bed, he had a different reaction and bit the snake to death. in retaliation for disturbing his sleep.

Lohar, 35, a resident of Panduka, Kharkhand in India, was sleeping peacefully when the reptile attacked him, which led him to take the unusual tactic of quickly grabbing the reptile with an iron bar and biting it twice.

The man is part of a group of workers working on the railway tracks in a wooded area when the attack occurred at the employees’ base camp.

Asked why he bit the snake, Lohar told India Today:

“In my village, there is a belief that if a snake bites you, you must bite it twice to neutralize the poison.”
