The business leadership opens its wallet: 42 billion dollars for the Sheinbaum government

MEXICO CITY (apro).- In the midst of congratulations for his victory in the presidential elections, the Business Coordinating Council (CCE), the leadership that brings together the most powerful businessmen in Mexico, announced that in the government of Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo , “as a sign of confidence”, there will be investments of more than 42 billion dollars.

“There are investments here that exceed 42 billion (dollars), just to start. And that is a seal of trust in her person, Madam President-elect, so that Mexico continues on that path of trust, that path of opportunities and dialogue,” said the president of the organization, Francisco Cervantes Díaz.

At the meeting of the National Council of the CCE, in which the virtual president-elect was a special guest, the business leader detailed some companies and the amounts that “are ready” to invest in the next administration:

  • FEMSA: “above” nine billion dollars
  • TransCanada: four thousand 500 million dollars
  • México Pacific: more than 15 billion dollars
  • Iberdrola: five billion dollars

And he mentioned Grupo México, owned by Germán Larrea, of whom he did not reveal the amount, because “it is a surprise, but the investment is quite interesting.”

Then, he added: “And there are still many investments above 42 billion dollars. Here is Coppel, there is also TERNIUM, with Máximo Bedolla also with very very important investments to add a total of 42 billion dollars.”

The announcement of the millionaire investment in the administration of the Morenista was followed by the applause of some of the businessmen who attended the Castillo Hall of the Hotel Presidente Intercontinental. Although it was noticeable that others did not applaud and, yes, there was no shout of “pre-si-den-ta!”
