Manslaughter prosecution of the killer

Criminal prosecution for manslaughter, attempted rape of a minor, abduction of a minor, use of a weapon and possession of a weapon was brought against the 37-year-old confessed murderer of the 11-year-old.

The District Attorney of Ilia, as reported by local media, went earlier on Tuesday at noon to the headquarters of the Ilia Police Department, where he charged the murderer and referred him for main questioning to the Ilia Investigator.

The 37-year-old, without the presence of a defense lawyer, requested and was given a deadline to apologize on Friday, June 14, before Investigator Ilia for the actions attributed to him.

At the moment, it remains unknown whether the apology process will take place at the Pyrgos Courthouse or whether Investigator Ilias will go to the police building, as there are reasons for the unsafe conduct of the accused’s apology.

The place of the apology will be decided after consultation between the police and the magistrates.

Tension outside the courts

Serious incidents took place outside the courts of Pyrgos Ilias during the transfer of the confessed murderer of the 11-year-old.

Furious, relatives of the girl and friends of the family, holding photographs of little Vasiliki, gathered outside the courts, where there was a heavy police presence.

When they saw the patrol car that took the 37-year-old to the Prosecutor, so that he could apologize, those gathered opened the door and tried to get him out of it.
