T20 World Cup is going on. The Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the home series schedule for the 2024-25 season amid the twenty-over World Cup. The schedule also includes two Tests and three T20Is against Bangladesh. Apart from Bangladesh, Rohit will host New Zealand and England next season. This season of India is basically starting with the Bangladesh series.
Bangladesh is going to play a bilateral series on Indian soil after five years. On top of that, this is Bangladesh’s third Test tour on Indian soil. Shakib-Tamim last toured India to play a Test series in 2019-2020. Sebar played two Tests and three T20Is against India. The red-green jersey holders’ achievement on that tour was a T20 win. Which is also the first win against India in a twenty over match.
Bangladesh’s Test series against India will begin on September 19 in Chennai. Then the second Test of the series will be held in Kanpur on September 27. After the Test series, there will be three T20s at three venues. The first T20 will be held in Dharamsala on October 6. After the second match in Delhi on October 9, the third and final T20 match of the series will be held in Hyderabad on October 12.
