Christopher Kampner joins Superfund’s management team
Vienna (OTS) – June 20, 2024 – Sonja Sarközi, Managing Director of Superfund Asset Management GmbH since May 2023, is leaving the company today and will also no longer perform her function on the Board of Directors of Superfund Holding AG. Christopher Kampner, MSc (WU), MA, has been newly appointed to the management team. The business areas will be redistributed within the management team; there will be no changes for Superfund’s customers or the usual high quality of the investment funds.
With Christopher Kampner, things have come full circle, as he is the son of financial manager Ursula E. Kampner, who was appointed as the first woman to head Superfund in 2011 and headed the company until June 2018. Christopher Kampner previously held the position of Head of Sales at Superfund. “With its new thematic funds, Superfund has embarked on an expansion course that offers answers to the new challenges of financial provision in times of inflation and digitalization. We see ourselves as a company that, with 28 years of experience, identifies special opportunities in the financial market and creates unique funds from them,” explains Kampner.
At Superfund, the past year was characterized by expansion, and in particular the range of funds was enriched with exciting innovations. Two systematically managed thematic funds were launched, which on the one hand make gold and silver, the oldest currencies in the world, and on the other hand make humanity’s newest cryptocurrencies, investable for Superfund customers using blockchain technology. The “Superfund Black Blockchain” combines cryptocurrencies and shares of listed blockchain companies and has achieved an increase of 103 percent since its launch on March 23, 2023 to June 17, 2024. The second fund is the “Superfund Gold, Silver + Mining”, which is designed as inflation protection and combines investments in the development of precious metals and in shares of listed mining companies. The “Superfund Gold, Silver + Mining” has been up exactly 7 percent since its launch on September 1, 2023 to June 17, 2024.
“I would like to thank Sonja Sarközi for her impetus and positive contributions to Superfund and wish her all the best for the future. At the same time, I wish Christopher Kampner, who has been doing excellent work for Superfund for a long time, every success in his new position as managing director,” said Superfund founder Christian Baha. The Superfund group of investment companies was founded in Vienna in 1995 by Christian Baha and is one of the world’s leading high-tech companies in the modern financial industry. Superfund was the first fund provider to offer mutual funds worldwide with fully automated computer trading systems.
