A meeting determines Chaabani’s fate in Berkane

The management of Nahdet Berkane Football Club set a date for a meeting with the team’s coach, Moin Chaabani, after the curtain came down on the football season, during which the team ranked third behind leaders Raja Athletic Club and runner-up Royal Army.

“Hesport” learned from an informed source that Nahdet Berkane officials, headed by Abdelhakim Ben Abdullah, have set a date after Eid al-Adha to meet with the Tunisian coach.

The same source explained that the meeting will discuss the results achieved by the team under Chaabani’s leadership at the Confederation Cup, Championship and Throne Cup levels, before deciding on the Tunisian coach’s future with the “Orange” team, runner-up to the Confederation Champions.

The management of Nahdet Berkane had stipulated that Chaabani, before contracting with him, should achieve the Throne Cup and Confederation Cup titles in order to ensure his continuation as coach of the team, noting that his contract extends for an additional season.

It is worth noting that RS Berkane had started the season with the national team, Amin Karma, with whom he won the Throne Cup title, before separating from him and contracting with Chaabani, who won a group of local and continental titles with his former team, Esperance de Tunis.
