National Distillers will participate from the 10th to the 14th of this month in the 2018 edition of the Luanda International Fair, where it will showcase its manufacturing process for one of the most popular spirits among the Angolan consumer.
Occupying an area of 72 square meters, the stand is a recreation of the assembly line that begins with the reception of ingredients, filling and packaging. Visitors will have the opportunity to see, inside, one of the few spirits factories in Angola, as well as participate in tasting tests of the finished product.
The beverage sector has been experiencing notable growth over the last 10 years, currently representing 4% of national GDP (INE). With a strong potential to become the second engine of the Angolan economy, after the oil sector, the sector employs more than 14 thousand Angolans, with National Distillers being an important player, holding around 50% of the market share.
With strong potential for export, based on the model established in Angola, the company, which employs 415 people in Angola, has its eyes set on market diversification, and is currently studying the potential for export to neighboring countries such as DRC and Congo Brazzaville, among other markets.
