The visitors were interested in their adoption, thanks to which some of them found new families.

Fortune smiled on Charlotte and Sendy from Depozita Beruška. “We have seven dogs here for adoption, two of them, Charlotte and Sendy, were booked by visitors and after the festival they will come to us for them,” said the representative of the deposit. There was also great interest about two puppies brought by the operators of the Psí domov shelter in Řepnice in Litoměřice. “Unfortunately, we cannot offer them yet because they were taken from the original owner. We have to wait for the authorities to decide on them. We hope it will be fast,” said Miluše Maskulanisová.

A check for the elderly

Every year they donate paws to Blesk raffle proceeds to one selected shelter or association. In the past, they supported the U Šmudliny shelter in Tacho and the Dočasky De De association. This year, a check for the amount of 46,700 crowns was handed over to the founder of the Association Senior Dogs in Need, Vendula Wolfová. “It’s an association that takes care of older dogs, which is an extremely demanding job, we appreciate them very much for that,” Blesk tlapek reporters Jana Ulrichová and Kateřina Lang agreed. “Thank you all very much, we will use the money to pay for veterinary care,” Vendula said.

Donio helps

It also had its stand at the festival Donio, with whom Blesk established a very successful collaboration last year. Within the Miracle of Lightning project created a collection to help abandoned and abused animals, in which the readers were selected already more than 420 thousand. Contentment reigned

Most of the visitors had their four-legged companions with them. Together they were involved in competitions and various activities, which were prepared for them in the meadow. To the competition for the dog champion Hanka Matějková also signed up with her border collie Bady. “We didn’t win, we ended up in the semi-finals, but we still enjoyed it a lot. It was very nice, it’s good to do such eventse,” she said. Positive responses came not only from visitors, but also from animal rescuers who had charity stands at the festival.

They were turning around at the stalls

Small sellers were also satisfied. “Thank you for the invitation. We are glad that we could be here, it was a great day. A lot of people came, they were interested in our work, we had to turn around at the stand,” said Petra Žaludová from the company Pampered, cz, which produces special veterinary collars for sick animals. Lightning Paws have been working with her for a long time because supplies collars for animals in shelters for free.

The fan has talent

Festival visitors also had the opportunity to decide who would win in the competition for the greatest dog talent. Of the five selected videos, in which the dogs performed various stunts, she caught the most attention female poodle Fanouš (2.5), with whom her owner Renata Ivánková came all the way from Ostrava. According to her, the fan has a talent for games, she is willing to participate in everything that her mistress comes up with.
