A Turkish state witnessed a horrific murder for reasons that the killer’s neighbors described as out of place, according to what a number of them wrote on their social media accounts after announcing the murder of a young man in his twenties in the coastal state of Izmir, according to what local media announced.
Turkish media reported that a Turkish man killed his 21-year-old son with a household knife following a quarrel that broke out between them on Friday afternoon.
The Turkish websites limited themselves to mentioning the first two letters of the killer’s first name and his family name, M.D., and the victim also identified his son as Ahmed D.
The crime occurred in the Gazimir area of Izmir, specifically on Aktepe Street 132, for a reason that the neighbors considered “ridiculous,” as they put it.
The Turkish man killed his son with a knife for bringing a dog to his house where he was staying with his family.
The Haber Turk news website reported that the argument between the Turkish father and his son occurred over the dog, which the victim’s father refused to keep in the house. A quarrel developed between them later, and the father decided to kill his son with a knife.
Despite medical intervention and ambulance teams, Ahmed Al-Ashreini died. His body was transferred to the forensic morgue in Izmir to confirm the causes of death and write a report thereon.
The killer, the victim’s father, fled the house after killing his son, and the security services were able to arrest him hours after the crime.
The victim’s father will be transferred to the Public Prosecution after conducting the necessary security investigations.
The Turkish police were able to find him in a café near the scene of the crime, where he tried to escape from the police officers, but failed.
