Al-Dabaiba issues a directive regarding the selection of pilgrims for the Hajj season for the year 1445 AH

Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, this evening, Wednesday, followed the preparations of the General Authority for Hajj and Umrah Affairs for the Hajj season for the year 1445 AH – 2024 AD, during his meeting with the Authority’s Management Committee and its Executive Director, in the presence of the Audit Bureau Committee, the Minister of Transportation, and the Chairman of the Management Committee of the Libyan Post, Telecommunications and Holding Company.

The head of the Hajj Authority, Ali Al-Bashir, presented a position on the steps taken regarding completing the contractual procedures in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including accommodation, accommodation, and transportation between cities, in addition to contracting with the African Airlines Company to transport pilgrims from the airports of Mitiga, Sebha, Misrata, Al-Abraq, Benina, and Tobruk, stressing that the authority is ready to implement this year’s Hajj season. High.

Al-Bashir explained that the Hajj Authority took into consideration addressing all the observations that occurred with Libyan pilgrims during the past year regarding the pilgrims, and that coordination is continuing with the Ministry of Hajj Affairs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Libyan Consulate, to raise the level of preparations in all aspects.

For his part, Al-Dabaiba stressed the necessity of choosing the technical, health and security committees and the Emotions Committee in a distinguished manner, to ensure that all appropriate services are provided to Libyan pilgrims in a good manner, and that they are at the level of responsibility towards them, stressing the necessity of continuing the work of the authority and performing its assigned tasks in order to ensure the comfort of the pilgrims, and not to pay attention. To any measures aimed at disrupting the Hajj season this year.

Al-Dabaiba directed the necessity of completing the procedures for selecting pilgrims from families missing in the floods and torrents that swept through the municipality of Derna and neighboring municipalities, according to the quota approved for them.

Al-Bashir confirmed that the Authority will complete the previous lottery for pilgrims and families of martyrs, and that the rest of the share will go to the families of families who were lost in Derna and its neighboring municipalities during this year.
