New documentary reveals the dark side of beloved member of the Back Street Boys

A new documentary series is bringing to light alleged unrevealed truths surrounding the controversies in which Nick Carter, a member of the Back Street Boys, has been involved. over the years and which also include his brother Aaron, who died at the age of 34, a victim of substance abuse.

The series, titled “Fallen Idols: Nick and Aaron Carter,” will premiere Monday, May 27 on ID and Max. Throughout four parts, The documentary explores the brothers’ rise to fame, their relationship, Aaron’s struggles with substance abuse and mental health issues.

It also addresses sexual assault allegations against Nick by Melissa Schuman, Ashley Repp and Shannon “Shay” Ruth. According to the production, Nick refused to participate in the documentary and has denied the accusations, in addition to questioning the credibility of those who point him out.

What does the documentary reveal?

In the series, Melissa Shuman, 39, tearfully recalls onscreen how Nick allegedly raped her in 2003. She relates that, after those heartbreaking events, she received a text message from Nick that said, “Why did you make me do that?”

The relationship that the singer had with Paris Hilton in 2004, and the alleged assault he suffered from Carter, is also addressed.

Hilton never publicly accused Nick, but he denied the allegations, telling MTV News in 2004:

“If they need media attention, let them do their thing. “My family, friends and fans know that this is not my character and I would never hurt someone I care about or do anything close to the malicious things they claim.”

It is also revealed that Angel Carter’s friend Ashley Repp, Nick’s sister, said she was 15 and Nick was 23 when he allegedly assaulted her at the Carter family home in Florida.However, Nick’s lawyer has denied Repp’s allegations.
