New Delhi (Vishvas News). A video of the fight is being shared on social media and it is being claimed that a BJP leader who had gone to seek votes in Sirsa, Haryana was beaten severely by the public.

Vishvas News in its investigation found that the claim being made regarding the video is false. Actually, the viral video is of a clash between Congress workers in Sirsa, which people are now sharing in the name of BJP with false claims.

Facebook user While sharing the viral video on May 9, 2024, Vijay Gupta wrote in the caption, “BJP leaders taking Prasad in Sirsa, this time the number will definitely cross 400.”

To know the truth of the viral video, we started searching on Google with the help of keywords. us viral Video (archive link) Found on a Facebook account named Sirsa Samachar. The post was shared on May 5, 2024. According to the caption, “Shailja and Hooda supporters fight over possible defeat in Sirsa Lok Sabha elections. Yesterday, the crowd gathered at the nomination of BJP candidate Ashok Tanwar made it clear that BJP is going to be at the forefront in the Sirsa Lok Sabha elections. There was a fierce fight among Congress workers over this matter. There are two factions in Congress, one of Hooda and the other of Congress candidate Kumari Selja. Hooda supporters say that Shailaja’s supporters deliberately provoked and beat us. The thing behind this is very clear that Shailaja is busy preparing on whose head the blame for the possible defeat will be placed. Because this case has proved that Hooda supporters are not going to vote for Kumari Shailja at any cost. That’s why they are fighting among themselves, so that when the results come, they can say that they lost the elections because of them.”

During investigation we found viral Video (archive link) Local news found uploaded on official Facebook page of Haryana Today and Ambala Mirror (archive link) on 5 May 2024. According to the information received, this video is from Saiman village of Sirsa. Where two groups of Congress started fighting among themselves. One group was of Congress leader Shailja Kumari, while the other group was of supporters of former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda.

For more information we contacted Amit Rukya, District Incharge of Dainik Jagran, Fatehabad. He told us that the viral claim is false. This video is of a fight between two groups of Congress in Saiman village of Sirsa.

Finally, we scanned the account of the user who shared the video with the false claim. We found that users share posts related to an ideology.

Conclusion: Vishvas News found in its investigation that the viral video of the fight is actually of a clash between Congress workers in Sirsa, which people are now sharing in the name of BJP with false claims.
