ARCCLA represents Angola at African railway conference

News from Angola – The Angola Cargo and Logistics Certification Regulatory Agency (ARCCLA) is attending the 11th Railway Conference and Exhibition at the Gallagher Convention Center in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Under the motto “Transforming Rail Transport Through Innovative Logistics Solutions for Greater Modal Change”, the event was promoted by the Southern African Railway Association (SARA).

According to the statement that Notícias de Angola had access to, strategic stakeholders, governments, companies, customers, suppliers and industry experts are part of the event, being the only railway event in Africa organized by African railway operators.

ARCCLA is represented at the conference by a delegation led by the President of the Board of Directors, Catarino Fontes Pereira.

According to the National Director for the Economy of Concessions (DNEC), Eng. Eugenio Fernandes, he is one of the VIP participants and is part of a debate panel with ministers from the Southern region, where the importance of regional integration and trade will be addressed.

The most recent projects for the development and maintenance of railway infrastructures in the SADC region will also be addressed in a panel with the participation of several railway and port officials in the region, with emphasis on Caminhos de Ferro de Luanda and Caminho de Ferro de Benguela – EP.

The Angola Cargo and Logistics Certification Regulatory Agency – ARCCLA is a Public Institute, subject to the supervision of the Ministry of Transport, endowed with legal personality, administrative, financial and patrimonial autonomy, created to exercise the functions of controlling transport operations by via sea, land and air, as well as boosting national logistics.
