Authorities in Lam Dong determined that during the construction of the project, the enterprise filled soil on three-leaf pine trees, causing many trees to die.
On April 29, the People’s Committee of Da Lat City said that the unit had sent a report to the People’s Committee of Lam Dong province on the results of inspection, verification, and handling of contents related to the project to build a tourist and resort destination in the Mountain. Dalat flowers (sub-area 156, ward 1, Da Lat).
In this project, the authorities identified the investor to organize the construction and filled the roots of 94 three-leaf pine trees with soil. These pine trees have a diameter of 6-52cm and a height of 6-18m.

At the time of inspection, the business had removed all the land from the area of 94 pine trees, restored the original status and planted grass around the above area. The forest trees are still fresh, growing normally, with no signs of wilted leaves.
Through inspection, the authorities identified 34 three-leaf pine pine locations with a diameter of 19-45cm and a height of 6-18m with part of the roots broken. At the time of inspection, the investor asked a number of units for advice, support and remediation by applying scar glue, watering with root stimulant, backfilling the soil and watering regularly. The condition of the forest trees is still fresh, there are no signs of wilted leaves.
Currently, the Da Lat Forest Ranger District requires Nui Hoa Co., Ltd. to work and organize an inspection and clarify the cause of death of 5 three-leaf pine trees with diameter of 19-36cm and height of 7-11m in the project area.
As a result of work, Mr. Pham Duc Huong (the company’s legal representative) admitted that during the construction process, some previous items were filled with soil, killing the trees.

According to the People’s Committee of Da Lat City, the Da Lat Forest Ranger Department has filed a violation record against Nui Hoa Co., Ltd. to handle it according to regulations.
The Nui Hoa resort tourism project has an area of 5.7 hectares with a total investment of 134 billion VND. This project is licensed to build items such as tea ceremony areas, restaurants, and resorts.
Project progress according to the certificate issued by May 2017 will be completed and put into operation. The project was extended by Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee once for 24 months from 2019 to June 2021. However, up to this point, the project is still in the rough construction phase.
