In the Karachay-Cherkessia Republic, two police officers were killed and four were injured as a result of an attack on a road service order. Five attackers were killed by return fire. TASS agency informs about it.
“As a result of the fighting, two employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation were killed in the Kurgan region. Two employees of the road traffic service of the Karachay-Cherkessia State Inspection of Road Traffic Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, two employees of the Karachay-Cherkessia Republic detachment of the Russian National Guard and one employee of the Kurgan region department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation were injured. Five attackers were killed on the spot,” the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region told reporters.
The injured police officers were hospitalized, they are given the necessary medical care.
The criminals approached the temporary position of the policemen by car, threw an explosive device at the policemen and opened fire with a rifle. The police returned fire, and the explosive device placed on one of the criminals exploded.
Several improvised explosive devices were found at the scene, the investigative-operational group and explosives specialists are working. The Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic supervises the investigation of the accident.
