Wall Street opens in green and the Dow Jones rises 0.27%

Wall Street opened this Monday in green and the Dow Jones Industrial Average, its main indicator, rose 0.27% to 38,341 points, driven by the advances in technological stocks.

Ten minutes after the trading floor opened, the selective S&P 500 rose 0.25% to 5,112 points, and the technological Nasdaq rose 0.21% to 15,961 points.

This morning Tesla’s rise of 11% stood out, after its CEO, Elon Musk, announced yesterday that China has eliminated the restrictions imposed on its vehicles by exceeding the country’s data security requirements.

The news raised investor expectations over the possibility that Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) driver assistance software could soon be available in the Asian country.

For its part, Apple advanced 3.8% after an improvement in its rating by the Bersntein firm, and Domino’s Pizza rose 3.6% after registering earnings per share that exceeded analysts’ expectations.

This week the quarterly results of Apple, Amazon, McDonald’s and Coca-Cola, among others, will also be published.

In addition, the market is attentive to the next interest rate decision from the Federal Reserve, which will be announced on Wednesday, although the prospect of cuts is receding.

By sector, gains predominated, led by non-essential goods (1.7%) and public services (1.26%), while the only one that opened in red was communication (-1.51% ).

Among the thirty listed companies in the Dow Jones, the increases in Apple (3.8%) and Verizon (1.66%) stood out, and the losses in Intel (-1.84%) and Microsoft (-1.41%).
