Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Saudi Arabia on his first foreign visit on Saturday, where he is expected to meet Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
This is his first foreign visit after becoming the 24th Prime Minister of Pakistan on March 4.
In a statement issued by the Pakistani Foreign Ministry on Friday, it was said that this is Shahbaz Sharif’s first foreign visit after the election of the Prime Minister. He will stay in Saudi Arabia from April 6 to 8.

The statement said that the Prime Minister is expected to meet with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in which matters of mutual interest will be discussed. The two leaders will also discuss regional and global developments.
Federal Cabinet members Ishaq Dar, Khawaja Asif, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Abdul Aleem Khan, Attaullah Tarar and Ahad Cheema are also present along with the Prime Minister.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will perform Umrah and offer prayers at Masjid Nabawi.
In a statement from the Prime Minister House, it was said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have a long-standing brotherly relationship rooted in religious and cultural affinity. “The leadership of both countries is committed to advancing brotherly relations and mutually beneficial economic and investment relations.”
Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting Atta Tarar had said on Friday that the Prime Minister and members of the delegation will go to Saudi Arabia by commercial flight and will pay the travel expenses from their own pockets.
