Overseas players have started joining centralization of training (TC) U-23 Indonesian National Team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The newest player to join is Pratama Arhan.
This news was informed directly by the assistant coach of the U-23 Indonesian National Team, Nova Arianto. Nova said that the Suwon FC player just joined today.
“Pratama Arhan just joined today,” explained Nova via short message to MNC Portal Indonesia, Thursday (4/4/2024).
With the arrival of Arhan, the depth of the U-23 Indonesian National Team squad will become more complete. Previously, there were two overseas players who also joined, namely Rafael Struick and Ivar Jenner.
However, there are still three more overseas players who have not yet joined the Indonesian National Team TC. They are Justin Hubner, Marselino Ferdinand, and Nathan Tjoe-A-On.
Asking when the three players will come together, Nova can’t say much yet. The man who is also the coach of the U-16 Indonesian National Team only asked to wait for further news.
“Just wait, bro,” said the former Persib Bandung player.
For Hubner, it was widely reported that he could not join because his club had not released him. Meanwhile, Marselino and Nathan’s latest news is still unknown.
During TC in Dubai, the U-23 Indonesian National Team is scheduled to undergo two trial matches. The Garuda Muda squad will face Saudi Arabia on (5/4) and the United Arab Emirates on (8/4).
The 2024 U-23 Asian Cup will take place in Qatar from April 15 to May 3. The Indonesian U-23 national team is in Group A with hosts Qatar, Australia and Jordan.
