Telecommuting doesn’t pay – THE NEWS

Fewer and fewer low-paying jobs allow job seekers to work online from wherever they choose. According to a survey by Ladders, an American career website that focuses on jobs that “pay” $200,000 or more per year, only 12.2% of the jobs offered involve telecommuting, with 84.4% involving jobs that require physical presence of the employee, while the remaining 3.4% are jobs with a hybrid model. By comparison, in the fall of 2022, positions with an annual salary of $200,000 or more that were filled through telecommuting reached a percentage of 36.7%, while those that required the physical presence of the employee represented 58.9%.
