7 Facts about the Red Cow of Israel. PHOTO/ GUARDIAN
The Temple Institute, an Israeli organization founded to prepare for the reconstruction of the Third Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, announced the birth of the female red calf on their YouTube channel.
“A perfect red heifer was born in the land of Israel,” the organization said, as quoted by The Mirror,
“The red female calf carries the promise of returning the purity of the Bible to the world,” he said again.
The calf must undergo extensive examination by rabbinical experts to ensure that it is a worthy candidate for the Biblical red heifer.
For some Christian and Judaic beliefs, red heifers are featured in stories about the “Last Days” or “End Times”. The birth and sacrifice of the red heifer is said to precede the construction of the Third Temple in Jerusalem.
In mainstream Orthodox Judaism, the rebuilding of the Third Temple would occur before the coming of the Jewish Messiah.
The two previous temples were destroyed. However The Temple Institute and other organizations have been founded with the aim of building the Third Temple on Mount Moriah or the Temple Mount.
