Notícias de Angola – The first Caustic Soda and Calcium Hypochlorite factory, with an investment valued at 24.83 million euros, will generate around 32 jobs in the province of Benguela, Notícias de Angola learned today.

According to a note, the project will also contribute to improving public health, especially in water treatment and surface disinfection, aiming to strengthen the industry in Angola.
In the same province, in the municipality of Baía Farta, another investment to be made in the order of 47.07 million euros, to reinforce the fishing sector, will give rise to a warehouse for receiving, freezing and processing fish in that area.
In the first phase, the report highlights, the warehouse will allow the creation of 202 direct jobs and will have modern fishing vessels, as well as an advanced industrial unit for processing and freezing fish.
The two infrastructures belong to projects called Salinas Calombolo and Alexandre’s House, within the scope of the Deustche Bank credit line, whose transfer contracts were signed on Monday (8) by the Development Bank of Angola (BDA).
The event was attended by the Secretaries of State for Economy, Ivan dos Santos, Industry, Ivando Prado and for Fisheries and Marine Resources, António da Silva, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Finance, investors and promoters of the sectors in question.
