Einulla Fatullayev, the editor-in-chief of Baku’s official haqqin.az, has been in Israel for about a month, from where he regularly publishes reports, analytical materials and video interviews. At the end of the “creative mission” he was targeted. The Turkish periodical Türkiye published an editorial and claimed that he was recruited by “Mossad” in order to create an agent network in the South Caucasus. Fatullayev commented on that.
He said that he is aware that the article was written in Baku and published through an Azerbaijani journalist living in Turkey. He assured that he hired a lawyer in Istanbul in order to apply to the court with a corresponding claim. “Turkey is a democratic and legal country, the Turkish court will punish hypocrites and scoundrels,” Fatullayev said and added that he also knows the clients, but it will be very difficult to reach them. In essence, he admitted that Azerbaijan is a non-democratic, non-law-abiding country, where it is not possible to restore justice through judicial procedures.
But what is more interesting is the fact that he believes that the article against him was written in Baku, he knows the authors, but reaching them, that is, calling them to account, is very difficult. It turns out that Fatullayev indirectly says that the author of the article is in Baku, he told him knows, but cannot call responsibility.
It can be assumed that Fatullayev’s “creative business trip” was organized by the special services of Azerbaijan. What task did he have? Judging by the materials published by Fatullayev, he tried to understand what kind of public-political support the incumbent Prime Minister Netanyahu has and how the Jewish community views the declaration of Palestinian independence.
It seems that Fatullayev “burned” somewhere. Either he chatted a lot, or he showed a not unique, pronounced curiosity to the journalist. It is noteworthy that the Turkish newspaper calls the Azerbaijani journalist a Mossad agent, and the client is a person or a circle close to the authorities or special services of Azerbaijan. He admits that in Baku he is also considered an agent of the Russian special services. Is Aliyev’s main propagandist “burned” in Israel? And maybe he was “burned” so that more complex and responsible revelations would not be made?
