Another 6 residents were killed in an attack on a building in Nabatieh city. Among the dead are two children, three women and one man. The director of the city’s hospital, Hasan Wazni, and three security sources gave this information.
Wozni told Reuters that 7 other people were hospitalized with injuries in this attack.
Another attack killed 4 Hezbollah fighters, according to Hezbollah and security sources.
The head of Hezbollah’s executive council said Wednesday’s Israeli attack on Lebanon will be retaliated against.
For more than four months, Hezbollah fighters and Israeli troops have been exchanging fire on the Lebanese border. The two sides have regularly clashed since the start of the Israeli offensive in the besieged Palestinian Gaza Strip.
More than 200 people have been killed so far in the clashes between the two sides on the Lebanese border. Among them are 170 Hezbollah fighters, about a dozen Israeli fighters and 5 Israeli civilians.
Millions of people have been displaced from the border areas of both countries due to this conflict.
