9 people were killed in a road accident in Mexico. A collision between a passenger van and a cargo truck took place in the state of Quintana Roo, a popular tourist destination located in the southeastern part of the country. The accident happened on Monday (February 4) local time. This information was given in a report of AFP.
According to a statement from the local prosecutor’s office, the accident occurred in the municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto, located in the central part of the state.
According to preliminary information, three of the 9 dead are children. All occupants of the passenger van are confirmed dead.
According to a report, 6 more people were injured in the accident. They have been admitted to different hospitals.
Earlier on February 19, five Argentine tourists and a Mexican citizen died in an accident on the Ekiti highway connecting the towns of Quintana Roo, the beach resort of Tulum and Puerto Aventuras.
