7,000 inhabitants of Corinto will benefit from the National Pothole Plan

Some 7,000 people will benefit from the National Patching Plan that the Government of President Nayib Bukele, through the Municipal Works Directorate, initiated in the streets of the municipality of Corinto, department of Morazán.

The DOM plans to rebuild, with a hydraulic concrete surface, 3.8 kilometers of streets in the urban area and other roads that connect to hamlets surrounding this place in the eastern part of the country.

Among the streets to recover are: the center of this municipality, 1st, 4th and 5th Avenue South; 2nd and 4th Avenida Norte, 8a Calle Oriente, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Calle Poniente and those that lead to the longitudinal highway of the North and Cacaopera.

The Government has exceptionally concentrated its efforts and the resources of the State to recover the dignity and self-esteem of one of the peoples most suffered and forgotten by the previous rulers.

Thus, the current project in Corinto adds to a long list of works that the current administration has carried out in favor of the inhabitants of one of the departments that was a stronghold of the former guerrilla, but when its leaders came to power they They forgot about his existence, but not about President Bukele.

Jocoro is another of the municipalities of Morazán where the past and present are very well marked, especially with the transformation that its road and rural network has had, thanks to the firm decision of the president, the intervention of the DOM crews for the benefit of 3,000 inhabitants.

These projects are being executed in municipalities such as El Rosario, Joateca, Arambala, San Isidro, Sensembra, San Fernando and Chilanga, while works have already been completed in Sociedad, Guatajiagua and San Carlos.

The DOM crews have also carried out other types of projects that have brought development to the inhabitants of the Morazán department, such as the drilling of a drinking water well and the construction of its distribution network.

In the emblematic El Mozote hamlet, in the municipality of Meanguera, the Government has already delivered the first stage of the revitalization of the historic center, which includes the remodeling of the parish, the kindergarten and the memorial plaza. Other works are also underway that are changing the lives of the inhabitants of this place.

As of January 30, 2024, the Municipal Works Directorate has completed 750 kilometers of municipal streets through the National Pothole Plan and 321 kilometers on rural or dirt roads, through the Rural or Dirt Street Improvement Program
