Seven quick steps by which citizens can pay their local taxes free of charge and without going to the municipalities, PP-DB MP Bozhidar Bojanov announced on Tuesday.
It turns out that on the portal of the Ministry of e-Government egov.bg there is a way to pay all the debts to all the municipalities together. There is also no fee, because the state virtual post terminal is used, Bojanov specified in his post on Facebook. However, he notes that the user interface is terrible and gives detailed instructions on how to pay the taxes.
The seven steps
1. You open egov.bg
2. You press “Log in to My Space” (top right) and log in with a PIK (of the NRA or NOI), KEP or cloud KEP
3. You open “Obligations check” (menu on the left)
4. You go down to the 3rd section “Check liabilities for local taxes and fees” and press “Continue”
5. You wait for all municipalities to load and select “To payment”
6. You allow browser pop-ups because the payment page opens in a pop-up for some unknown reason
7. You choose which debts to pay and pay by card
Are the Ministry of e-governance and the NRA talking to each other?
“Obviously, this is a bad UX (user experience). And after the Ministry of e-Government (MEG) knew that the NRA was stopping the ability to pay, especially for some of the largest municipalities, including the Metropolitan Municipality, especially in the payment season of local taxes and fees, should have clearly communicated how and where taxes are paid, including coordinating with the National Revenue Agency their message.
