GAZA – There are a number of Israel’s closest allies who support independence Palestine . The latest are three European countries that have just expressed their support for 2024.

Since its independence was recognized in 1948, Israel is still building many relationships with various countries to maintain its status as a sovereign country in the Arab region.

This means that Israel must increase its allies outside and within the Arab environment itself. Most of the Jewish State’s allies come from the West, such as the US and the European Union.

In recent decades, Israel has also strengthened its diplomatic relations with several countries in the Middle East. Even so, apparently this is still not enough to make them give their full support to Israel.

7 of Israel’s Closest Allies Who Support Palestinian Independence

1. Spanish

Israel and Spain have maintained diplomatic relations since 1986. This European country is also the best place for Israel to run its business. In 2008, the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs also visited the Jewish State.

Relations between the two countries worsened when Spain gave its support to Palestine in 2024. This made Israel withdraw its ambassador from Spain as a form of disappointment.

2. Norway

Norway was one of the first countries to recognize Israel on February 4, 1949. The two countries established diplomatic relations later that year. This means that Israel has an embassy serving Norway and Iceland in Oslo.

However, in 2024 Norway made a surprising decision in favor of Palestinian independence. This made Israel immediately withdraw its ambassador from Norway.

3. Czech Republic

Israel and the Czech Republic have a special relationship. Czechoslovakia was the only country to send aid to Israel in its early years, for example arms shipments from Czechoslovakia to Israel in 1947–1949.

Then Israel also became the country that helped the Czechs when they wanted to train in desert conditions for their upcoming mission in Afghanistan. Even so, this European country chose to provide its support to Palestine in 1988.

4. Jordan

Israel has had full peaceful diplomatic relations with Jordan since the signing of the Israel-Jordan Peace Agreement in 1994, but relations between the two countries are still gray.

Especially after Jordan, which opposed Israel’s actions, actually helped them by shooting down an Iranian missile that was intended for Israel. Jordan itself provided support for Palestine in 1988.

5. Morocco

Morocco Relations between Morocco and Israel have existed for a long time, although they are not official. Morocco has a long history with the Jewish community and maintained low-key diplomatic relations during the 1990s following Israel’s interim peace agreement with the Palestinians.

Then on December 10 2020, with US assistance, Israel and Morocco agreed to establish full diplomatic and trade relations. Apart from that, Morocco continued to support independence for Palestine in 1988.

6. United Arab Emirates

On September 15, 2020, US President Donald Trump together with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu signed an agreement with Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif al-Zayani and Emirati Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Because this is also why the UAE is a country that is less vocal when there is a conflict between Israel and Palestine. The UAE has provided independence support to Palestine since 1988.

7. Egypt

Israel has had full diplomatic relations with Egypt since the signing of the Egyptian-Israeli peace agreement in 1979. Even though the two countries have close diplomatic relations, most Egyptians really hate what Israel has done.

Egypt itself has expressed its support for Palestinian independence since the UN session in 1988, along with other Middle Eastern countries.
