Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe is celebrating its 50th anniversary in Austria this year – on the occasion of the anniversary year, deserving personalities from partner organizations were honored
Vienna (OTS) – June 21, 1974 was the birth of Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe in Austria. A handful of committed volunteers started with an ambulance donated by the German Johanniter. In the following five decades, the Johanniter launched a variety of projects to support people in need and have now become an integral part of the Austrian health and social sector as a non-profit organization.
Three months before the Johanniter birthday, deserving personalities from partner organizations were honored by the Johanniter this week. A special award, the “Golden Crown Cross”, was presented to the long-standing Federal Managing Director of Johanniter Austria, Robert Brandstetter, by Diakonie Director Maria Moser.
