During the month of January, 41 people were detained for violating the state border, 12 of them from Azerbaijan, 11 from Pakistan, 7 from Iran, 3 from Algeria, 3 from Sri Lanka, 2 from India, 2 from Morocco and 1 was a citizen of Iraq.

As part of measures to combat illegal migration, 13 people were detained while trying to cross the state border with fake date stamps, forged passports, and documents belonging to others.
833 people were detained for violating the rules of the border regime and appropriate measures were taken against them.
As a result of anti-crime measures, 277 wanted persons were detained by the Azerbaijani law enforcement agencies and handed over to the relevant authorities, 395 persons prohibited from leaving the country and 16 persons prohibited from entering the country were prevented.
As a result of measures to combat the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs, 102 kilograms and 250 grams of narcotic drugs and 1,265 pills, which are considered to be powerful drugs containing narcotics, were detected and taken out of circulation.
As a result of anti-smuggling measures, contraband with a total value of 1 million 130 thousand 696 manats, including cartridges, a large amount of US currency, sturgeon fish, medicines, perfumes and tobacco products were detained.
