4 Reds players doubtful about appearing

LIVERPOOL – Liverpool Coach, Juergen Klopp admitted that he had not yet made a decision to play Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alisson Becker, Stefan Bajcetic and Diogo Jota against Atalanta. The reason is, he wants to field the four players in the best condition.

Liverpool will face Atalanta in the first leg of the quarter-finals Europa League 2023/2024 . The match, which is predicted to be tight, will take place at Anfield Stadium, Friday (12/4/2024) at 02.00 WIB.

Darwin Nunez and his friends are determined to achieve victory in the next match. Moreover, in the last five matches in all competitions, Liverpool was able to get four wins and one draw when playing at home.

Meanwhile, Juergen Klopp admitted that he still had to look at the situation to field Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alisson Becker and Diogo Jota. Even though Trent Alexander-Arnold and Diogo Jota showed good performances in training sessions, he didn’t want to rush into playing either of them.

“We have to look at that,” said Jurgen Klopp

“So, obviously we didn’t rush the players. You could but we didn’t, that means they did a lot of training on their own, especially Diogo and Trent, (they) worked as a team for two or three weeks to train properly. So, (Trent Alexander-Arnold and Diogo Jota) looked really good yesterday, to be honest.

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp said that Stefan Bajcetic, who has been absent for a long time, will play with Liverpool U-21 in order to restore his performance. Meanwhile, Alisson Becker is trying to return to appearing with the first team.

“Stefan (Stefan Bajcetic) is a little different because he was out for longer, but he is now training with us for longer too. But I think after a long time without playing football, it makes sense that we give him a chance to play in the U-21 team and then we’ll see how he copes. That’s not the plan for the other three players. Alisson is also on his way back. So, we’ll have to see.”
