Salzburg (OTS) – Austria’s strongest private broadcaster once again achieved a new record in April. The station’s base rate increased from 4.3% in April 2023 to 4.6% this year. In the target group 12-49 there was a jump from 3.3% to 3.7%. That means in both groups: the best April in the station’s history. ServusTV On ended April with around 6.2 million video views (+ 3%). The video and streaming platform also achieved a new record with 131 million watched minutes (+ 32%).
Records for Hello at 2, Quizmaster and Hello Weather
The afternoon magazine Servus at 2 achieved a new monthly record in April with 3.6% market share in the base (E12+). In the target group 12-49, Servus Wetter (6.8%) and Quizmaster (5.8%) achieved a new record month. And April was also the second strongest month on record for Servus am Abend (8.9% E12+), Quizmaster (7.3% E12+) and Servus Wetter (8.6% E12+).
In primetime, Tuesday with Hubert and Staller, among others, scores highly – on April 30th the show is even one of the top 3 main evening formats with 7.1% in the base (E+12) and 154,000 viewers on average (6.2 % market share in the target group 12-49). And Austria’s only live manhunt program “Fahndung Österreich” is also one of the best main evening programs in April, with a 6.5% market share in the base (E12+) and an average of 152,000 viewers (5.4% in the target group 12-49). Furthermore, the Heimatleuchte program “Das Alpbachtal” is very well received by the audience and achieves a 6.1% market share (E12+) and an average of 136,000 viewers (4.2% in the target group 12-49).
At ServusTV On, Der Wegscheider (440,000 views), Servus Nachrichten (360,000 views) and Talk im Hangar-7 (275,000 views) are among the most viewed content.
Top in sport: Formula 1, MotoGP and UEFA Champions League; Record for Superbike on ServusTV On
After five years, Formula 1 returned to China in April. The race, in which the reigning world champion Max Verstappen was once again able to prevail against his competitors, achieved a market share of 45.1% (E12+) on ServusTV and reached an average of 490,000 viewers (44.1% in the target group 12-49). . Traditionally, the large European block of the Motorcycle World Championship started in Jerez de la Frontera in April. The MotoGP race achieved a market share of 12.3% in the base E12+ last Sunday. On ServusTV On, MotoGP achieved a total of 1.1 million video views in April. The FIM Superbike World Championship also scores points on ServusTV On. Despite only one racing weekend in April, the racing series has a total of 648,000 views (+ 280% compared to the previous year).
In mid-April there was a quarter-final showdown in the UEFA Champions League between FC Bayern Munich and Arsenal FC. An average of 416,000 viewers were there (16.9% market share in the base and 15.9% market share in the target group 12-49) when Bayern maintained their chance of winning the Champions League title with a narrow 1-0 win. The game received 254,000 views on ServusTV On, making the quarter-final game the most viewed UEFA Club Competitions match on the video and streaming platform to date.
