On the morning of June 8, talking to reporters Dan tricommander of Nghia Lo town police (Yen Bai province) said that in the area, there had just been an incident where a teenager was swept away by floods.
Specifically, on the afternoon of June 7, while playing soccer with his friend, Luong Van C. (born 2007, in Nghia Loi commune, Nghia Lo town) went down to Thia stream to pick up the ball and was swept away by floodwaters.

According to the Nghia Lo town police commander, as of 9 a.m. this morning, the victim still had not been found.
The authorities are sending blocking groups at shallow water locations where victims can drift in to search.
