A representative of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that 30 schools in the city were not safe enough to resume classes on September 9 due to the damage caused by storm No. 3. Of these, 19 schools were in districts, towns and cities, and 11 schools were under the Department of Education and Training.

Many schools in Hanoi suffered damage to their facilities due to the storm.

Regarding the damage caused by storm No. 3, a representative of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that there were no casualties at schools in the city, but there was considerable damage to facilities.

The whole city had 28 schools flooded, nearly 3,100 meters of walls collapsed, nearly 400 roofs and classrooms were overturned, nearly 800 main doors and windows were damaged, nearly 190 garages were damaged; nearly 1,900 signs were damaged…

175 schools lost power, including many schools in Chuong My district, Thuong Tin district, Quoc Oai district…

Regarding trees, nearly 7,500 trees were uprooted in schools across the city, mainly in schools in Thanh Tri, Phu Xuyen, Quoc Oai, Gia Lam, Chuong My, Long Bien, Ha Dong districts… The rest were in affiliated schools, mainly in Chu Van An High School, Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, Minh Phu High School…
