3 Brigadier Generals served in the Red Berets, one of them was a former Intelligence Assistant Danjen Kopassus

JAKARTA – There are three Brigadier Generals (Brigadier Generals) serving in Special Forces Command (Kopassus) . They served as Wadanjen Kopassus, Ir Kopassus, and Danpusdiklatpassus.

In the Kopassus unit or what is known as troops Red beret It is led by a Commander General (Danjen) who has the rank of Major General TNI. Currently this position is occupied by Major General TNI Djon Afriandi who took office on March 8 2024.

In terms of the structure of the Kopassus Organization, under Danjen Kopassus there are three important positions held by one-star TNI High Officers (Pati) or those with the rank of Brigadier General. Below are brief profiles of these three figures.

3 Brigadier Generals assigned to Kopassus

1. Brigadier General TNI Yudha Airlangga

Yudha Airlangga was born on July 26, 1976, in Surabaya, East Java. Since November 29 2023, he has been appointed as Deputy Commander General of the Special Forces Command.

If you look at his career history, Brigadier General Yudha does have quite a lot of experience in the red beret unit. Starting from when he served as Danyon 811/Aksus Sat-81 Kopassus in 2012, to occupying the position of Danpusdiklatpassus Kopassus on June 5 2023.

Apart from that, this 1997 Military Academy graduate also served as Asops Kasdam VI/Mulawarman in 2019, Wadanrindam II/Sriwijaya in 2021, and Danrem 071/Wijayakusuma in 2022.

2. Brigadier General Husein Sagaf

Brigadier General Husein Segaf is Pati TNI who is currently serving as Inspector of Kopassus. He has held this position since February 25, 2022.

This man, who was born in 1968, began his military career in 1991 after graduating from Akmil. He is recorded as having served as Operations Staff for Kodam Jaya, and Dandim 0501/Central Jakarta in 2010.

This one-star general also held the position of Wadanrindam Jaya in 2011, Main Chief A-1 Dit A Bais TNI, and Danrem 163/Wirasatya in 2020.

3. TNI Brigadier Ahmad Fikri Musmar

Ahmad Fikri Musmar was born on May 23, 1976, in Prabumulih, South Sumatra. Since November 29 2023, he has been assigned as Danpusdiklatpassus Kopassus.

The 1997 Military Academy graduate previously served as Paban V/Bhakti TNI Ster TNI in early 2023. He was also recorded as having served as Paban III/Tahwil Sterad in 2022, and Asintel Kasdam Iskandar Muda in 2020.

His experience at Kopassus was proven when he held the position of Dan Group 3/Sandi Yudha Kopassus in 2018, Asintel Danjen Kopassus in 2017, and Danyon 32/Kopassus in 2014.
